What I Do

My Philosophy of Care: While typically being a ‘Jane of all Trades’ my general focus has been on several different specialties to help a wide variety of patients. After 20 years in the field of physical therapy I’ve settled into devoting my skills to helping people with pelvic floor issues. My strong background in orthopedic physical therapy is an asset to person’s health in general while providing versatility of care which enables an accurate assessment of a multitude of injuries and conditions. Intently listening to my clients without judgement allows for clear dialogue and formulation of the most effective way to address patient concerns. During examination we seek to address the musculoskeletal system holistically and address all concerns to more effectively improve function and quality of life. Everything is connected and its important to identify the source or result of a patient’s problem. Lastly, as an exuberantly happy person, your session will not only beneficial, but fun!

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Western Washington University. Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington. Doctor of Physical Therapy from Regis University.

My Clinical Interests: Pelvic and women’s health, particularly treatment of those that have endometriosis, pelvic pain, incontinence and post partum issues. I am also an orthopedic specialist and can see any other musculoskeletal injuries or conditions.

My Personal Story: I grew up in Seattle and have made the Northwest my home. My husband and I live in University Place and have a wonderful 3-legged dog named Sheena who loves peanut butter and can hear cheese. Staying active through yoga, running, cycling and hiking is a big part of my overall well-being. I also enjoy the culinary arts and socializing with my literature group that meets monthly and reads a variety of fiction and nonfiction. I became a P.T. because I love to work with people, and wanted to help patients enhance their well being and achieve their physical goals.
